Enhanced Safety with Fire-Resistant Properties
Flame Proof EPS
Flame Proof Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) is a specially designed material that reduces the risk of fire. It contains flame-retardant additives that make it slow to catch fire and help prevent flames from spreading. This makes it a safer option for industries that prioritize fire safety, such as construction and packaging. Flame Proof EPS provides the same benefits as regular EPS, like being lightweight, durable, and an excellent insulator, but with added safety features.
This material is commonly used in buildings for insulation, especially in areas where fire safety is critical. It is also ideal for packaging valuable items, offering both protection and peace of mind. By choosing Flame Proof EPS, businesses and homeowners can ensure better safety while still enjoying the many advantages of EPS.

Influence of Ambient Temperature and Seasonal Effects
Coastal Areas
In coastal regions, the air has high relative humidity due to the proximity to the sea. This means the air holds more moisture, which affects the EPS maturation process. The beads require a longer time to mature because the excess moisture in the air slows down the process.
Coastal Areas
- Summer: With higher temperatures, the EPS beads mature faster because the heat speeds up the evaporation of moisture. This results in a shorter maturation time.
- Winter: During colder months, the process slows down due to low temperatures. The beads take more time to reach their ideal state, resulting in a longer maturation time.
Handling & Storage Conditions
Storage Environment
EPS should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area with a temperature below 25°C. Avoid placing it near hot surfaces to prevent premature pre-puff formation.
Protection from Sunlight
Packed material must be kept away from direct sunlight or prolonged exposure to indirect sunlight. Proper shielding ensures the material’s properties are maintained and protects it from potential mechanical damage.
Temperature Management
At temperatures above 25°C, there is a risk of losing the blowing agent, leading to higher density and compromised product quality. Maintaining the recommended temperature is critical for preserving processing performance and achieving desired densities.
Ventilation
Storage areas should have ventilation ports at the bottom since the blowing agent is heavier than air. This ensures safe and efficient air circulation.
Fire Safety
Smoking, sparks, and welding activities near the storage area are strictly prohibited. Always keep EPS away from fire and sparks to avoid any fire hazards.
